I tend to agree with you on most things, Cooksey, but I’m afraid your coming off as rather hypocritical on this one. In one post you’re telling us that you gave up hunting snows and in the very next post you’re telling Salt he can’t sit back and enjoy his trip because it’s his duty “as a sportsman & conservationist” to kill them all. So where’s your higher obligation in all this??
Oh my .
A bunch southern boys complaining about goose noise. Mallards ain't going that far anymore so embrace the geese or hunt squirrels, your choice.
Might be the only constant in your waterfowling.
Heard squirrels are really fun and great fare on the table. Personally I wouldn't skin one .
Well Kansas of course!!!!!All I gotta know is where I can kill "a couple thousand " ducks in a season !!??
Well Kansas of course!!!!!
You welcome grif!
Thats an avg number over last 20yrs
Some yrs we have killed way north of that. would do a free lance trip to Sask , or go with a guide in Ontario (lost my good friend and hunting buddy in Ontario this past yr) or Alberta. Sometimes twice. I had a place in North Dakota . Usually hit Kansas or South Dakota if we drew. I use to hunt Kansas the entire month of November. Oklahoma was fun as was Mississippi.
Had a club in Arkansas we killed 10-12 limits everyday with 410 or 28ga.in the pin oaks for a 7-8 yr stretch . We lost that. Been fortunate to own 5 really sweet spots in Kansas, Arkansas , and Tennessee . Been to Argentina and Mexico.
It’s been my life passion I have shared with my family. It’s what we did and still do when they can. Shared it all with my my wife and oldest two boys and a lot of great friends. I work hard at it year round. Not lip service. I love it. I breath it, I dream it , and I live it 365.
I have outfitted just to afford farms, and I have sold memberships. Thru the yrs I have invested every red cent and a lot more I got from the bank at times to pursue my passion.
Been a wonderful blessed life to spend that time with the ones I love.
If I never kill another one I am whole!
Thank you Lord for your blessings and my family. Most importantly thank you for your Grace.
