Inasmuch as we are getting a lot of new member stopping by, I'm posting this for everyone's reminder on the basic rules of conduct here.

The following is a copy of the post that David has put up in all forums here at the Refuge on several occasions in the past.

These are his rules we are following. He's been more than polite about it and we owe him the respect he deserves for providing us this great place to hang on on the 'Net.

It's his "house", and we are his guests. The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution doesn't apply here.

I'm not a saint by no stretch of the imagination, but there is no need for this word here at the forums, nor will it be permitted.

I fully understand this and will adhere to it, but in your view what is the difference between the word you stated and say "freakin"? We all know it is just more of a socially acceptable version of the same word. I am a Lenny Bruce style advocate, so I wonder about these things on a philosophical basis.

Thanks for your understanding. As noted by the OP (in 2006) and in multiple threads since... this one has been debated Ad nauseam (pick yer word, variation, connotation) so many times over the years and little of value has ever surfaced. Essentially, from time to time someone will take the opportunity to share their opinion (we all know what opinions are like) while wasting the time of others. Its kinda a cause de jure for new arrivals who know of a better life for all and want to share their image of how things ought to be. Bottom line; the forum (like all forums) is a private enterprise and the standards are at the pleasure of ownership. Carry on.

I fail to see the value or purpose of your question... and particularly your apparent "CA(D) attitude".

The post of the original owner, which has been also continued by the new owners, is pretty obvious. My opinion, nor yours, matters not. Just follow the established rules or leave. It's really pretty simple...

And, btw, a person could say they were "freakin' out", so, as you can see, there are multiple, appropriate, definitions possible in that regard.
