    I am using the paint colors Jay Sanford recommends. The are Behr ultra paints from home depot. The Gadwalls are Black Suede base with Elephant skin brushed over them.

    looking good, we leave our decoys out all season so I worry about flocking durability.

    I do too, in the So Cal desert!

    The first two drakes are Higdon battleship. The flocking held up but were severely discolored. So for them I washed well with soap and water, then repainted.
    The Herters in the background had a couple of seasons, and required a full reflocking of the heads.
