You can buy sheets of mylar in various thicknesses. It's used for much more than duck and goose call reeds.

Yep...I got sheets of this stuff...and a good long arm paper cutter...and good scissors.

10 thousands, milky white...cut all you like.

Jo Ann's Fabrics used to have a 12"×18" sheet of template mylar that was .010 and using a mini paper cutter,strips of potential reeds could be produced in short order.
I have probably 10 lifetimes worth of strip cut.
