Rice breast lower this year?

I'm curious if others are seeing a reduction in rice breast this year. I didn't have one bird that was obviously affected this year.

No surprise due to the heavy rains this year? I'm not sure if that's how this works or not.

I had only one mallard this year with it.

On the flip side we had 30-40dead snows on the pond during December, and a couple swans in Jan.
Coyotes ate well.
