Not that this has anything to do with ducks.
Three traveling salesmen went to a small town hotel and asked for a cheap room.
The manager said he had just the one for them, and it'd be $30 a night.
Each of the three men gave the manager $10 to pay for the room and went up and settled in.
Later the manager thought about it and decided he had overcharged the men for the room, so he called the bellhop, gave him $5 and told him to divide it among the men.
The bellhop was half way to the room and realized he didn't know how to divide $5 among the three men so he pulled a quick one. Instead of giving them the $5 and letting them figure it out, he gave each man $1 and pocketed the other $2 left from the $5.
Now if each man had paid $10, and each man got $1 back, the room only cost them $9 each and the Bellhop got the $2 left over. Three times 9 is 27, and the bellhop got $2, that comes to $29.
Where's the other dollar?
