Very sad news indeed. I bought my 1st short reed from him. He sat with me in the garage many a times helping me out teaching me how to blow the call. Lots of good laughs. He was such a giver..gave the boys their 1st calls and sat with them in his garage and listened to em and tuned their calls to fit them. Fixed all the broken calls the boys had.. It always amazed me how he could sit and listen to someone take their call adjust and like that get em going. Very special man who touched many hearts. Rick you will be missed.

Knowing Rick from years on this forum, I am very confident that he would want me to give all you Diver Dorks a bunch of sheet. Somehow, it will never be the same.

Dang. I didn't hear about this yesterday. What a loss to the waterfowl
community.
He was a giver as a lot of you mentioned.He donated a ton of calls to the local
DU chapter.
Prayers to his family.
RIP Rick.

When this soaks in I'l tell a Rick story later.

Very sad news. Bought several calls form him he even made me some personalized ones I gave out for groomsmen gifts. Of course I kept one for myself. RIP Rick thoughts and prayers to his family
