    Thank you for the opportunity. This was the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Army taking Vimy Ridge in the first world war, an event that was described as nation-building for us.

    The men and women who willing serve this country in a uniform make this country the greatest in which to live. Two particular I'd like to give a shout out to; Keith Booker, my brother- in-law, 25 years in the Marines and now working for US Customs; The second is Whittier PD Officer Boyer, shot and killed during a traffic stop just over a month ago. Officer Boyer our community is poorer without you here!! RIP job well done...
