Yeah I saw that last year when looking through the regs down there. Thats crazy. Drum have been everywhere up here last few years. Stripers have been slower but still decent.

There everywhere here. I usually catch a slot and then upgrade several times in a trip until I take home a 25" er or so. It's one of my wife's and myself favorites table fare.

Finally got out for striper on friday afternoon. 1 nice slot 27" striper, 2 slot drum and a boat load of bluefish up to 18". Never seen the bluefish so thick at this spot. Its tough to get a striper as the blues destroy your bait (they mostly hammered the live baits)

On a side not cleaned and fried some bluefish and it was great. I Have never really eaten them much but I will from now on. At least the small ones.

Take and bread your blue fish fillet and try baking they kinda fry in their fat. 18” perfect eating size. You seeing any cobia on the lower bay?

No but we dont see any where we are usually.
I will give cooking it like that a try.
I am afraid there are so many bluefish we will have a tough time getting on the stripers. We will see today. Leaving the dock in a few hours to hit slack to ebb
