    First day back at the hut....

    MR Coffee comes out of the pot at 150 degrees.

    We have two types of thermometers here at the hut. One shows a 'red zone', that starts at 150, ends at 170.
    The other one shows a green zone, that starts at 155 and also ends at 170.

    So, colors aside, anything above 170 is considered too hot to serve.

    I make drinks by sound, as I steam up the liquid with the steam wand. I know by the sound how hot the drink is. (water and milk make different sounds) I made my drink (Quad shot- sugar free salted caramel-Med) and temped it when I was done. It was 150 degrees, which was almost too hot to drink. 1 minute later, it was perfect.

    So, Micky Dee's was serving coffee at 190 degrees. Excessive, and unsafe, to say the least.
