And here I thought the point of Sitka was to "be seen". That's why I am thinking about the Beenie. :l
Oh it is all about being "Seen" just not moving.. I was in a steak house in Gregory AR that is out in the country this weekend and it was chocked slam FULL of the 20-35++ "Duck Hunters" all sporting the finest Sitka gear man can buy. Underwear to coats, boots i.e... It is the Gucci look now. You ain't killen but by god you sporting fancy.

I live in SLA, but hunt mostly NELA. I bought this jacket last yr and it’s hands down the best jacket I’ve ever owned, and 100% waterproof. If it gets really cold or long boat ride I’ll throw another layer on underneath. Very tough too. I’d wager it’s the same quality as Sitka. You also won’t look gay wearing it. Hope this helps.

I stood next to a guy in one of those nice filson deals while it rained, then snowed, then froze down to about 15 degrees.....he mostly looked like a popsicle. :l :l

You can say what you want about Sitka, but their Delta & Hudson do keep you dry. We hunt breakwalls on Erie & when water is coming over the wall it is like someone pouring five gallon buckets on you. I don’t think you could be in a much more difficult situation to stay dry in & I have stayed dry.

I don’t give 2 chits what I look like. Ghey, yuppie, Gucc, hobo, or whatever.
As long as I am warm and dry.
I would wear a pixelated rainbow flag, as long as I stay warm and dry.
Froze my azz off in to many places to care what someone thinks about what I wear.

If you do, then you have some serious inner insecurities you are hiding.

This is EXACTLY why I went with Sitka. But Chene and Filson and many others make DAMN good stuff as well. What really made me pick sitka over all the others was the camo and the way it blended with most areas I hunt. I keep hearing rumor about kuiu finally entering the game of waterfowl. Curious on what they come out with. Jason would of never let that happen in a million years.

And it is HUNTING gear. I aint wearing any of it outside of a hunting trip. Lots of time, I strip out of it as soon as the hunt is over. So those that wear it out and about because it looks "cool" is pretty funny to me. Although the Grinder pants in mud brown are way comfy and I could wear that out and about, but at $200 for a pair, I would be afraid of tearing them doing something stupid. I am just as comfortable in my $25 wranglers from wally world when out and about for everyday life. They are even solid brown as well. Gear is only worn for its intended purpose. Figure if I take care of it and only use it during those times, I should get quite some time out of them.
