I saw them about 10 years or so ago, it was the year the released the cd vicious cycle I think, were pretty good I think there were 2 original members then. There are a lot of the old groups that have been touring for the last 15 years or so that still rock, I saw Van Halen when they got back with David lee Roth and The Eagles before Glen Fry died, both shows were incredible

Saw them In Chattanooga in the early 90s. Could be incorrect, but I don't think they'd been together long. It wasn't good enough for me to keep up with them since. Maybe they got better with time.

You're right though, they were a different band after the crash.
But they still put on a good show.
Even the last time I saw them.
Was it the same? Hell no just like every other old band that is playing live today. You get bits and pieces of how they use to be but it's not the same at all.
My wife had never seen them and wanted to go cut loose for a weekend away. She got more than she bargain for when we ran into my old roommates. It was pretty funny. We were both so sick the day after the show. I asked her if she could drive home and she just looked at me. I knew that meant we were staying another night.:l
They were still good, I'd see them again in a heartbeat. I wouldn't pay to much though. $40 to $60 sure anything more I doubt it.
But hey if you got it go for it.:tu

Sounds like a good time. Seems like I became crotchety about music when I was about 25. Honestly don't recall the last live show I attended, but I'm sure it's been over 15 years.

There is a Skynard documentary on Showtime, it is fantastic. Just listening to it in the background is worth it.

Might as well go see a Skynyrd cover band. Same with pretty much every other band from that era that is still touring without most of/all of the original lineup.

Ronnie Van Zant was a dick who died before I was even born.

Aerosmith and U2 come to mind. Probably some others, but not many.
