Well, I'm sure it's not him becuse he passed away a few years ago.
Great voice and a damn fine guitar player, I enjoyed his music back in the day even though I was a rocker.

This past summer Sirius/XM radio had The Skynyrd Channel as one of its revolving focus on artists; 30 days, my truck didn't stray from that channel until they switched it to someone else.

As part of the show, Gary Rossington was the "DJ" for several segments, talking about the old days, new days, songs they liked, stories were told. Frankly, it was a bit painful to listen to him; the inflections in his voice, rambling on and on about nothing, he'd just wander off a little on a subject, then come back to it.

Recently saw one of the documentary's on this final tour; don't recall where they were playing. Gary tore it up on guitar. He's still got it.

But this all reminds me of the old "if you were stuck on an island with only one record, who would it be?" Lynyrd Skynyrd Second Helping, thank you very much :tu

Love Second Helping, tough choice on the desert island between that and Texas Flood.

I bought my tickets to the Brandon, MS amphitheater this morning. Its ran by Red Mountain who does the Wharf and Tuscaloosa. Tickets were 202.50 for front row floor, 152.50 for back floor and lower stadium seating, 102.50 for lower middle stadium seating, 82.50 for mid stadium seating, and 62.50 and 52.50 for way back up top. Im assuming itll be the same down there as they are set up relatively the same. I bought 2 tickets just because and cody jinks is opening.

I was a bit pizzed when they stopped the Skynyrd channel, as I too never changed it the whole month.

On the island I’d want all of their music, but they would be the band.

The black dog in my avatar is named LynyrdFreakinSkynyrd, or Skynyrd for short.

Never got a chance to see them live though, regret that.
