MAybe law enforcement saw it and it was interfering with their investigation? Even so that does not seem right to shut down the info on the internet????
If indeed true they closed a field(s) because of waste ears something does not add up for them to immediately close it for 10 days. If a field is deemed baited the 10 days is suppose to start after the last kernel or bait is gone.
Question to all who have waterfowl hunted for more than one week. HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HEARD OF A FEDERAL WARDEN WALKING AWAY FROM A BAITING CASE WITHOUT WRITING MULTIPLE TICKETS?
Something smells about this whole thing!
Even with todays modern combines the lost
corn in an 80 acre field would be a lot more than
a couple 5 gal buckets of are corn.
Danny is right- My place is 80 acres. In the best of years there is a whole he!! of a lot more than a couple of 5 gallon buckets. I personally pick up 15 to 20 buckets for the bird feeders for the winter. Have a grinder so I usually get 2-3 5 gallon buckets of shelled corn. Something fishy here. I know one of the members is on it and will probably provide info as it becomes available.
Recently gave up some goose property I had controll over , the farmer had some pretty outdated equipment , field looked baited every year . Friends used to ask me if I paid him extra to not buy new equipment! 20 + years never an issue , don’t think we were even ever checked . I would also like to see the outcome of this , sounds fishy to me also .
