Don't tell the Russians .....
I saw a couple high flock over Big Valley this morning. Headed south.
Saw that small bunch at Conway yesterday.
Actually had a small flock over Folsom this morning. I was working outside and was sure I heard a goose. Happened to look up and immediately caught two small v's way, way up there. Couldn't have been more than 50 of them, pure white against the blue sky. As usual, the wife wasn't as intrigued as I was
The black birds
I heard a flock of snows over the yard about a week ago at night. It did not sound like a big flock.
Snows flying over the Raft River Mountains in Utah on the Idaho line.
Looks like BC, Alberta, SW Sask and Montana (including Freezeout Lake) got hit with early snow. North of that swath of snow it's cold! Saskatoon is forecast to have highs in the 30s for the next week and Calgary is even colder. That could account for an early push of snows.
Every year the black birds do a huge migration though the delta... miles of birds headed south around the 2nd week in Dec. I have watched it many years.. last year it was late by a week and a 1/2 ...... I'll bet ya they will head thru early this season.... stand by !
Tweety birds are already here around the house and they are early !!!
Mother Nature has something going on !!! Maybe we should send Al Gore a email...he'll know what's up !
