Sitting at home sick today, sore throat, runny nose. Ive got a big nose so its a big problem.
Duck blind is covered with birds but its 65* out and i hate warm hunts.
I have to be darned sick not to hunt... Pick a blind/spot with an easy walk. Put the blind heater in, relax/rest, shoot some birds... Fresh air is good for a cold/flu...:yes

Last year I socially isolated at my duck shack, and shot some ducks in a blind by myself...

Several years ago (pre-COVID), I cancelled a hunt on a good friend cause I was too sick... He asked if I was calling from the hospital....:nutz

I've hunted with 103 temp and spewing chunks my partner moved 50 yards away. Haha. We did kill limits at Del in a 20+ N wind. That must of been 30yrs ago at least

Hunting everyday, and had a nice one with a new-to-ducks father and his young son this morning. Thanksgiving party canceled, so I'm taking my own youngest grandson in the morning. Presently waiting to see if his 85yr-old great-uncle can join us. Hope so.

Uncle Franklin couldn't make it, so just the boy and I went. First greenhead, mottled and gray fell for Ethan, so we're extra thankful this day.

Maybe the other hunters are just keeping their distance from you?
Cool Story bro, but don't give me that much credit on my hunting skills, I mean I get it, love those calls :)

Have a great T-Day ;)

I did a 5.1 mile walk trying to find an elk. No elk seen. But, came home with some items that's bound to jazz up the turkey dinner.

Have to finish processing a couple of deer today. Duck opens tomorrow, but no water worth getting up early to hunt, so I’ll be watching football. May deer hunt Sunday if the weather works, and then I’ll be at a conference in Bozeman all week.

Looking at the 14-day forecast, doesn’t look like there’s enough precipitation to change things up. Shaping up like last season when the only hunting I did before Christmas was on invitations and a few public goat roping’s. When it’s this dry, the public places with water are miserable to hunt.
