What are all you people afraid of? Do you have that much to hide?

How do you feel about gun registrations?

I'm afraid of the slow and steady erosion of my Constitutional rights.

Sounds like a great case for gun control.

I'll keep my freedom. You can give up yours.

No, I don't really have anything to hide. However...It's none of their d**n business if I am being a peaceable citizen and staying within the bounds of law and not giving them cause to be suspicious. How I "look" to them is immaterial. Further to that, while I hold the opinion that most LEO are decent people who are doing an often thankless job, I have known a couple officers and dealt with a couple game wardens who were of the opinion that they had just not found what you were guilty of yet.

I can easily see the value of facial recognition; do we have known illegals who are cartel members roaming around that might make it easier to pinpoint? Members of Al-Qaeda or ISIS here that are wanting to cause harm? Amber alerts and other situations in which it could be life saving?

But this is a razor's edge; what is the potential for misuse, when we already know the NSA and other agencies have conducted domestic spying while denying it at every turn? "No, no...we wouldn't do that....even though we could" "Uh, we did the thing...but we promise we deleted the files and won't do it again...but...by the way...why did you cover your laptop's camera last night and unplug your Alexa?" And is the fear of "bad people" and taking such measures worth losing privacy?

    What price liberty?

That’s the exact same argument that is made for gun control.

NOBODY abides by every law. Anyone who argues otherwise simply doesn't know the law well enough.

Not totally sure how it works. That said, I'm not sure why it couldn't be subject to being used with a search warrant and only looking for specific individuals specified in the warrant.....
