What missile does NORAD shoot?
I just re- read my posts because I was quite sure I didn't mention "missile", which I didn't. It's been quite a few years since I was involved with anything up there so I did a little research and it doesn't take a genius or know it all to figure out that we're not sitting up there without resources to take care of something like this with relative ease, not to mention nuclear threats from Russia.

Because I'm feeling pretty lazy this morning, I just cut and pasted a section of the mission statement and basic info about ANR and its pretty much unchanged from when I worked up in that area with the Navy Tacamo program.

"The region maintains readiness to conduct a continuum of aerospace control missions. They include daily air sovereignty in peacetime, contingency and/or deterrence in times of tension, and active air defense against manned and unmanned air-breathing airborne vehicles in times of crisis. Aircraft assigned under operational control of ANR contribute to the daily air sovereignty mission and could be used for deterrence and/or air defense missions as required"

So, with that said I'm pretty confident that we don't need to get into a pissing match over something that was clearly mis-quoted. Have a great day bud !

I’ve just never heard of an air-to-air missile flight-tested against a balloon. I don’t know how it would lock onto it. I also know of no surface-to-air missile that could. I doubt that balloon is acting like anything our anti-air/missile systems are programmed for. So, I asked you which missile.

All the chatter about missiles and rockets that are unable to take this thing down.
We've been working on laser technology for some time.

What if an ordinary citizen brought it down?
