Sourdough Starters

    When my boys were 8 and 10 years old, we would stop for sourdough pancakes at a restaurant on the way ro Bear Valley to ski.
    The owner gave me some of his sourdough starter. My sons are now 40 and 42 years old and I am still using that starter.
    I use it to make sourdough sweet rolls and of course, pancakes and waffles.

    Kept on and off with sourdough for years. My favorite bread by far. I can do without rice, potatoes, pasta. But bread...oh, man!
    The problem is - when I make bread I can't stop eating it (and I should, according to the doctor).
    Haven't done any in about a year. This is one of the last I made.

    40B4A976-BFBA-4C49-A43C-62BC2E655516.jpeg Got a batch of Betty’s Clam Chowder going. It is her original recipe from The Maxwell Inn. To my knowledge, I’m the only one that has the recipe. Took me 20 years to get it! Not for sale Seaters. Lol.
