This is a bit late, but I only check in here once a week. I joined 4 of my friends in Spearfish, SD on Dec 10 - 12 for some Branta Canadensis and Anatidae Anatinae shooting and to say it was good would be grossly understated. We killed 68 of the big boys and 42 of their little cousins. :tu

Day one was a shocker. We finished up at 10:30 AM and were back at the lodge by Noon. We lined up the results for a hero shot and it looked like this:

We had another great shoot on Day 2 except no ducks were taken.

Day 3 was a bust for the geese (only took a few), but the ducks were very eager to play and we took a full limit of Mallards and bonus ducks (3 widgeon & 1 ringneck). Here is what I brought back with me. Does it get any better than this?

We'll be heading over to Torrington, WY for a goose shoot in late January and look forward to it being a successful adventure as well. Life is indeed good.

I'd hate to have to clean them all? Did you breast them out or pluck them?

Breasted all of them. I haven't plucked a bird in over 20 years.
