My little corner of the world is overrun with these suckers. Yesterday I saw that they have started to damage my deck piers and siding. In the evening last night I counted 17 in the trees and on the ground around my house while I was grilling. It's never been this bad.

This morning I identified the dead tree that seems to be their headquarters. I know it's tough for everybody right now, but those bastages, the ones who survive the initial strike, are about to be homeless and terrified to even forage for food.

PSA, they will end up in your motor compartment of any truck or car left outside, chew the wires and such, think about the damage they will do finding a new home, kill them one at a time, S.S.S. and note, Ring doorbells cameras can detect an air gun being shot if close enough.

    The more you know ;)

LOL... this is not an operation that requires explosives. Kerosene will get the nod here. I want them to know that hell has come for them.

We see them around and under our vehicles all the time. My old 88 pickup I don't drive that often got the plastic fuel lines chewed up on the frame rails and electrical wires for rear lights. Fixed that and now they chewed another fuel line on top of front gas tank. I have also been tempted to start trying to plink a few near the vehicles but fear I would get a ricochet and choot out a window or hit one of the nicer vehicles.
