Hah!
Places I’ve hunted on the Snake have that same trash problem. Too many white & blue coolers, soccer balls, plastic bottles, etc… Usually have to clean an area just to stomach setting up to hunt.
We used to have a beaver pond we would hunt in college we called "The Dump" because you had to walk through a hundred yards of trash that people had dumped over the years. Was really fun bringing new people out there and not warning them and seeing their face walking through the trail we had made through the garbage.

Had permission on a small ranch pond, and nowhere to hide at the time. I noticed birds going into the hole with a truck parked nearby, and utilized the same method... Used my truck as a blind, and the few birds I saw came right in.

I sat on the roof of my parent's house, near Tulsa, Oklahoma, and shot at passing geese. Unfortunately, there are no photos of my attempts. If tungsten had been available back then, I'm sure I would have been more successful.

I pass shoot Cacklers from the hot tub occasionally, & lucky for you guys, no one will ever see that video. Hope to get a limit someday. That could happen next year (when the it gets dropped to 2, since the local wintering population is down to 225K). Don’t think I’ll be using the “pickup as a blind” tactic, but I might start collecting aluminum pie plates;).

I know a fellow that had a season long blind on a WMA and was having a problem with gadwall landing 200 yards from his decoys. His solution was taking a basketball, crudely drawing a human face on it and anchoring it where the gadwall were landing. Didn't have the intended result. There was so much trash floating down the river that the birds paid absolutely no attention to the basketball.
 #&*$ Gadwal!
