We made the move to Ashton this week and will be there regularly till the first week of October. It will likely be a semi permanent summer residence at least for the near future till Caleb gets everything worked out with his new adventure with Three Rivers Ranch. We are putting a lot of miles on the boat and had some pretty good floats so far. Water is still high in most places, so we've spent most of our time on the various sections of the Henry's Fork and Warm River. We floated the Box section up by Island Park on Friday in constant rain, but caught a few and had a quick release on a couple big rainbows we wished we could have caught. As those of you know, the weather was pretty wicked last week and we put the trailer through it's paces. Weather was so bad on Thursday the wind was blowing us upstream at Ora. At least for the next couple of months we will have to come back to the shop three days a week to get orders out, but by August Caleb should be guiding clients. 62207054_2535877896444793_78173648942268416_o.jpg 62033019_2539401649425751_4437500299728388096_o.jpg 61631956_2522782961087620_7476106811729248256_o.jpg 62324770_2537351439630772_8512741904998203392_n.jpg 62601425_2542055359160380_6245230856131051520_n.jpg

we really like it over there and there will be some chance that Caleb will be moving over there in the next few years, depending on how his guiding job goes. We may follow if he does. This was on the warm river to ashton stretch a few weeks ago, eating salmon flies, I guess salmon flies make your ears big. 61510303_2262697233991735_5747400930563719168_o.jpg

Haven’t seen you post in awhile, but neither do I. Looks like your family is doing well! You think Caleb will like working for someone else other than you
Hope everything is well and in your semi retirement you get to do more duck hunting. Did you buy a lot up there?
    Matt

No matt, just have a summer time deal in a small rv park outside of ashton. Rent for the park is less than dragging the trailer back and forth. We will be parked there till October. I just bought a house last August in Mt Home. Kind of depends on Caleb's guiding where we will end up in the next five years. Actually i work for Caleb on a part time basis right now, he has a wedding decor business that subsidizes the fly fishing habit. He likely won't have his guides license till late august at this point and then maybe he can start making a little of the money back. We hardly ever duck hunt anymore, that might change since moving to mt home, but there's a lot of fishing to do.
