The 11/14/19 Illinois River and Mississippi River surveys are out! Not all of the bird left!
I got on the DNR guys about that last year, and was given two different answers about it.1 was oh they were under staffed and while it was being flown it wasn't being posted. 2 was that the guy who posts it had quite or something like that an noone knew how to update it.
Hey Click - glad to see you on this site !!!! We ain't doing much of anything. River still flooded. Stood in #49 in 2.5 ft of water Sat. for 2 hours. I left. No ducks. Luke went back for 2 more hours. No ducks.
I would make a small wager that everything is posted prior to the Southern Zone opening. Somehow, the votes in the South Central Zone get "NO RESPECT"
Have to totally agree with you Rex
Flew the count yesterday!
thebiggrfigr - which count ? did you see the S. Il. plane or Yetters that goes down the Illinois and up the Miss. ?
So. Il. count is on IDNR website. Flew 11/18. Only 30,000 ducks in the count area. less than 1/2 the 10 yr. avg. Nephew in Minneapolis area said thousands of mallards showed up there last weekend. Fields south and east of the city are full of feeding ducks. Wave after wave of them. Doesn't look like they are going south until at least Turkey weekend.
My buddy works at Crab.
Saw a group of snows fly over my house this eve. Maybe things are picking up. First ones I've seen this year
