I am not a picky eater. I basically will eat any normal food that is fit for human consumption. Last night I found a jar of pickles in the fridge, popped the lid and took big ol bite of one. I just about gagged and threw the rest of the pickle away. Apparently my wife uses "sweet gherkin" juice in potato salad. Why the hell does anybody freely choose to turn a perfectly good miniature cucumber into that disgusting monstrosity?? Especially when that cucumber could be made into a dill, a bread and butter, or a spicy pickle.

Does anybody actually eat these things?

My favorite are half sours. Totally opposite of gherkins. My next favorite are gherkins. Totally opposite of half sours. I love each one for what they are in their own right.

I have equal hate for all pickles. One accidental bite and I'm done with eating.

They can be a shock if you aren't suspecting them that's for sure.

Sometimes I like a little sweet pickle on my burger, shake things up a bit.

Who, in their right mind would choose to ruin a cucumber by pickling it in any way? ANYTHING pickled only belongs in a landfill.

I too despise sweet pickles. It took me a long time to figure out why I wasn’t big on Wendy’s burgers. It’s because they put sweet pickles on them instead of dill. Now I order it with no pickles and put pickled jalapeños on it when I get home. Hell yeah. Jalapeños make a cheeseburger awesome.

I can eat most anything pickled and generally love it all. I cannot do sweet pickles in any shape or form. What gets me is the funky aftertaste all day long.

They're almost as bad as sweet tea.

There are no bad (homemade) pickles.
