I finished my initial production for testing. CMwings, your tutorial was spot-on and everything fit together just as you described. Now I'm off to the pattern board.

Ya know I kinda dig the lower brass on your shells. Really cool to see the entire load like that.I finished my initial production for testing. CMwings, your tutorial was spot-on and everything fit together just as you described. Now I'm off to the pattern board.

Also, a little off topic but I hope CD2 sees your picture here and switches out the MG wad he used in his duplex. Your wad is perfect. No petal separation and perfect stack height. I bet they pattern well for you.Omg those look too good to shoot! Great job!!!
Rather than trimming the hull, I tried 2-3 OSC's on top of the pellets. Worked very well in snugging down the roll crimp.Looks fine to me. There is a lot of setback. I would personally trim the hull 1/8-3/16 and roll it tight. If it folds nice then great.
Done that before and yep snugs it up. I just don’t like rolling over that much plastic. I like my roll crimps to pop open and not tear open. Before and after….Rather than trimming the hull, I tried 2-3 OSC's on top of the pellets. Worked very well in snugging down the roll crimp.
Thanks. The GAEP RTO tool and trial and error for how much to trim a hull make up the secret sauce, and I’m happy to share how much I trim for each load I build.Dang…….keep posting those beautifully rolled loads and I might be changing my ways of making ammo!
I believe that is the same wad that I am using in the latest version of the duplex that I sent to be tested. X12X gas seal plus TPS 35mm. I agree it does work out perfectAlso, a little off topic but I hope CD2 sees your picture here and switches out the MG wad he used in his duplex. Your wad is perfect.
