I weighed it on my Zebco fishing scale, so I know what I’ve got. Thanks for all the good advice. I’ll try and thaw it out outside tonight to get a good pic of it.

Did you get that bird thawed yet or did something haul it off when it was outside thawing?

My bathroom scale shorted out in a thunderstorm. Looking for a waterproof version now. When I went to check the camera I had tons if pictures of those birds on the scale, it just wasn't displaying any weight. But seeing them that close they gotta be 25 pound monsters. I'm sure they could take the biggest gobbler on toe to toe. My dog is scared to approach them.

Oh yeah, they always leave before the season comes in. Must be so so so smart they know to go to a refuge or city park or safe space like a college campus. Sure wish I could get one to put in my freezer and never do anything with like other people do.

Haha! It's one thing I never get is when people say they shoot a 20lber they don't have a photo. Who doesn't have a cell phone to take a photo. The 20lb contest ran for like 5 years here on the fuge before a 17 lb goose I believe won it.

Someone's been hunting the secluded back bays!

    Good on ya.

I made a turducken last year that went 28 pound.

Taxidermist will have to special order a form from the 40's when those jumbo mega greaters were everywhere.

Pretty sure he'd backed down to 15lbs before someone took home the custom decoys.
