I killed a LOT of cinnamons when I lived and hunted in California (BW's were rare there). I found that they act like a BW acts, at least BW's here in Kansas.
I put out a mixed spread of big duck and teal decoys all season here, and the teal land in every part of the spread as well out just outside the spread. The teal here don't seem to be very particular.
It has been very interesting and informative reading the regionally different experiences hunting Teal.
Funny how you, at the bottom of the flyway where birds are the most weary, knows this.
Like I keep saying, those that are smarter than a teal know the deal but I guess many aren't. Then there are those that want to think they're hunting tiny birds that are as hard and as smart operators from SEAL team 6...
And, you know what the guys from SEAL Team 6 think of the guys from Washington...
Bonus teal opens September 11th (still eerie just to type it), so we'll see what I really know soon enough. Our blue-wings' primary breeding grounds are drought stricken, their numbers will surely be way down, and not letting anything pass within sight and/or sound without tolling will be all the more important.
The same they think of guys from SC...
