I see those guys coming in at the ramp about 10 am....they look like they hate the world.

We slept till 8, had a great breakfast, maybe a bloody or two, and will gladly sit on the tailgate having a cigar, waiting for them to clear the ramp, while they put up their crap from the last 12 hours of hell. :l :l

Been to waiting for this weekend for 7 months. Thought it was going to be 8 months but MN opened up early teal season this year. I was pretty pumped.
My dog is scheduled for biopsies on thurs for some lesions she has on her muzzle. I'm guessing a couple stitches will be involved. Not so pumped any more. We'll see how it goes.

Enjoy it man....leave her home if you have to....all of us, men and dogs, only have so many days. She'll forgive you by dinner and you'll have more days together. :tu

It's teal season...like Spring Training...some ain't quite ready yet. Let her rest for the real show!

I usually hunt by myself early season. Just won't be the same without my hunting buddy. My thoughts will be elsewhere and not in the moment.

Nope....but go. You'll enjoy her even more when she's up to speed.

She'd go without you....all the good ones would. :yes

    I'm sure she would.
We'll see how it goes on thurs. Hopefully just some aspirations and 1 biopsy. If its just one stitch I'll be willing to let her try it. I wouldn't not let her hunt if she had a small cut from some briars or a barbed wire fence or something.

I do miss having a teal season. In coastal SC it was fun when they were around. Skeeters were bad, I'd never even consider a dog for those hunts, but fun. I'd sometimes have a fish stick out the back of the boat soaking a mud minnow. Reds or flounder were caught frequently waiting for the teal. I never got so excited that I'd even consider spending the night. I would be dead by sun up from blood loss.

You'll still be killing things. Mostly brain cells by the way it sounds.
