teal sighting on Missouri river mid Missouri yesterday . 100 birds
Figured this cooler weather into the weekend and next would move doves and teal, into and out of the area.
Been seeing a lot of doves gathering up. We will see how many are left when the opener arrives.
Nice, I'm about ready.
They are probably in Texas now with this huge cold front!!!!
Seeing more and more each time I go scout. Still mostly larger groups, which is typical in my experience of birds just showing up. Looking at the forecast up north, I'm betting we start seeing good huntable numbers around next Monday and Tuesday.
Lining up just perfect, get them here with a few days to settle down before we start in on them. I'm ready!
any sightings getting close
Plenty along the Illinois River Valley!
I saw 12 to 15 on a small lake yesterday, if they are this far north, you guys should have some.
Picked up a bunch Wednesday morning. Worried we might have lost some last night with the cool breeze. Luckily we don’t have much of a moon right now.
Should pick up some Iowa birds tomorrow!!!! Teal season opens 9/1.
