    Remember Guns & Goodies well in Dover. Use to make trips up there with my brother and drull at the thousands of guns at cheaper prices than could be had anywhere else. Probably very early 70,s but if I recall you could get a new 870 Wingmaster Mag for about $150. They also had a store in Virginia prior to bay bridge tunnel. No paperwork on handguns there.

    Grew up 30 miles from the original (and only at that time) Herters.
    Quonset hut building/wharehouse. Stuff in bulk in wood bins. Filled out invoice form for powder, primers etc. Handed it to staff who would gather the order and box it up. Went to single register and paid.
    Catalogue provided hours of great reading.
    Every item had a story....." Brother Jacques Herter used the Herter's .44 Magnum revolver to drop a charging rhino at 10 feet..."

    All the dunns sporting goods stores. One in Marion IL, Paducah KY, and Pevely MO. One in Paducah KY is closed I believe.
