Just saw some data on the new Tesla pickup it looks nice.Bed is in front.Supposed to have tremendous amounts of torque as each wheel has it's own motor.Prelimanary price around 50k.
My daughter has a Tesla and it's quite the car so I would definitely look at a Tesla PU ,when I get back to work.

Electric motors make full torque regardless of rpm; should be great for towing and offroad.

I can think of a couple uses for a self-driving pickup with a camper shell

That's either going to be a really short bed or really awkward to drive/park. Probably both since you can't stack stuff above the bed and still see.

The bed definitely isn’t in the front.

Good luck on servicing in the future. Tesla can't even meet production on cars and now they want to make trucks.:scratch Elon Musk is brilliant, but he is no business man.

Dude could wipe his azz with $100 bills every day for the rest of his life and he’d still die a more wealthy man than anyone on this forum by many orders of magnitude.

That said, Elon Musk provides visionary direction for the company, but he is smart enough to let experts handle the business side of the business.

That statement contradicts itself and I'm no Musk fan. He is a brilliant business man, which is why he has a backlog of orders for cars. He probably needs a new person(s) managing production, which would say more about his leadership ability than business acumen.

He's pushing the envelope so I dont have to ride around in a 14 MPG half-ton for the rest of my life. Forced Ford to invest half a billion in Rivian. Electric trucks cant get here soon enough.
