Kinda looks like a groundhog, and they don't eat too bad if young.

But really just kinda weirded out by the picture

We had a delicious dinner from a local small restaurant we support. Wife had turkey, I rolled with prime rib. Salad plus three sides, roll, choice of pie. Instead of three or four loads of dishes I had the usual one. Son, DIL and most important grandson stopped by for a long visit. I am an only child male with an only child male who so far has an only child male. My family tree is a telephone pole. I give my thanks, I am blessed far more than I deserve, but to be honest Holidays are usually, precovid, way more drama than I like. I am way more comfortable with the open ended open house stay or leave eat or drink, be comfortable model. Moving in that direction takes time. I hope everybody is full, comfortable and got a solid buzz going.

I've been in the restaurant business all my life. Unfortunately that job has a tendency to make holidays meaningless, just another busy day at work. However I have a job and for that I am VERY thankful even though I hate it sometimes.

Only thing my girlfriend has ever known. Her first job was at a restaurant, 13 years later she ended up purchasing that restaurant. After the first almost 2 years covid hit, it's been rough. She hasn't ever had a holiday except Christmas off, almost closed for Thanksgiving this year but decided to try.

Unfortunately it's a large facility that is hard to run small scale. Did almost 1200 last year for Thanksgiving, today it was 256. Tough times in the restaurant industry, and it's never been easy.

2020 is a good year to remember what we do have.
