@salthunter he got himself stuck to the frame here not too long ago. He might have some leads on this.
Actually I'm an expert at off-road getting stuck.
An old guy that just doesn't learn..

But back to the original post There are so many different forms of off-roadin.
My daughter used to be in the mud bogging and and entered races.
She was also a member of a Jeep club that pretty much did national Forest roads.
Andrew's Toyota Red rocket is design more for the rock crawling and sands of Southern Utah.
But he also has tires for the red Toyota for doing deep snow off-roading then you have guys that like to chase around and sand dunes and mud flats..
And you have UTV and ATV off-roading also trails or road running

Then there's goofballs like me, there's geese just a little bit further out in the lava flow the desert higher up the mountain for geese

Are really stuck if you can get unstuck by yourself? (From a guy who once paid a D4 Cat eight hours time to pull him out).

The key for me about getting unstuck, is knowing when you're just going to make it worse stopping and then putting the physical effort in to get out.
.
When I got stuck on my way out here My front wheels were in 22 in of snow, My rear wheels and 10 in of snow.
And the trailer in an inch. Most morons make their life worse

All depends on how good you are getting unstuck.

I once spent two and a half hours getting myself out before others got stuck They got a front end loader a big farm tractor stuck, then they came out there with the track hoe and decided they were going to use cables, and doit right
I've been stuck places that there is no way you were going to get a cat or any other tract vehicleto it unless you're using bog mats.

Woops… most stuck I ever been. And then they cut water from a lake that morning and almost flooded the truck before I got a farmer to tow it out with a tractor. Thank god for a lift and 37” tires. Water was coming the driver side by the time we got it yanked out.

i had some tweakers stuck in my neighbors orchard a few months ago. The orchard road looks like an old paved road. They followed me to my house as i drove by coming back from town.. Sketchy. My neighbor was actually out of town and we live way off the beaten path. They tried to flag me down but it was late and they looked like pro meth heads and at that time i didnt know they were stuck in the orchard. The amount of spare tires and fencing material ol boy had spread around trying to get out was comical. This scenario also solidified the logic that your carry gun should always have a light. Always. I did get them out, told him im giving this one shot and one shot only so lets do it right. Honestly didnt liek the idea of them stuck in an orchard with the closest houses being mine a good 500 yards away and my neighbors, who are nice people, well off, and out of town, only 300 yard away the opposite direction.

Travis Pastrana races everything and is one of the best drivers around. He does a lot of Off road Rally Cars and Baja

if you are strictly talking rock climbing And mud Etc I would reach out to Matt Wetzel of Matt’s off-road recovery out in Utah
Travis is a local guy around here and started off with motorcycles and has got into other stuff. watched a bunch of Matt's off road recovery video's over the years and have been impressed with many of his hairy recoveries. I spent many days in my youth going off road with dirt bikes and then 4x4's. many fond stories. i think the last time my wife went and had to jump out in water in mud over her waist was the last time she went. wish we had the technology back then to video some of the stuff I seen. have to have some deep pockets to do this on a regular basis and be mechanically inclined to keep things going or be dependent on others. with the increase in jeep sales off-roading has really exploaded over the years. Tons of jeep clubs that get together all over the country and go off roading all the time. mostly limit my off road excursion now to the sand at the beaches or on my ATV.
