They must be doing it right, the kid got ducks. Congrats to the kid. I was wondering how long before the negativity started. These days if a cure for cancer was rolled out, someone would be complaining that doctors were being put out of business.
Sunday update to my post. My sons went out this morning goose hunting without me. I thought Church was more important. Yup, they limited out by 8:30. I should have gone along and watched the service on YouTube.
We did some after hunt learning also. If I play this right all I'll have to do is shoot at ducks in the future!
Way cool Paster thats what its all about. Can't wait to take my grandson he is 4 so I've got a little wait.
As did my son. I remember him encouraging me to shoot a duck that had landed 100 yards from the blind. I humped him on my back out in the flooded timber to a spot that had a dry spot of high ground around the age of six.
I carried my son to many duck blinds, and let him drive the 4 wheeler with me behind him by the time he was 7.....and shooting at ducks with a BB gun.
Lots of memories in all the above. Had one of the best times I have had duck hunting today. 4 generations. I am 71, my grandsons boss who is 45, one of his sons who is 7 and my grandsons who is 20 tomorrow. 3 MD and 2 gaddies. 7 yr old is shooting Mossberg 870 youth model. Only gets one shot until he learns to hit them. However every time a duck fell today I asked him if he killed it. His reply each time was Yes Sir, "shot him in the lips". He was amazed how the dog knew where the dead ducks were. End of the hunt I shook his hand and told him he could duck hunt w/me anytime. He turned to his dad and said "hear that dad,I get to come back. "
