Pulled the boy out of school on Tuesday. No birds. Checked him out early today and it worked out just fine. He still has the smile on his face.

He told me he was trying to keep his from warning the others that were flying over.

    That's awesome! Congrats!
What gauge gun did he shoot?
My boy has been shooting a 20 gauge all season and then I let him shoot my super x2 with 3 1/2 inch double B loads. He loved it.

He has also been shooting his Charles Daly all year. I knew he would need a little bit more umpf so I let him use my SX3. Should have seen him trying to pump it. He handles that gun better than I do sometimes. Then he smiles at me and I tell him "No, your not having my gun". He shot 6 shots total today. This one just took one. I tell him a bird with no wing just walks. The thud on the ice took it all out of him.
