If you haven’t heard, the Extreme MAGA Republican Puppet Court made another unanimous ruling this week.

Seems if the government seizes your property and sells it to pay back taxes, they only only get to keep what you owed, not pocket the entire proceeds. Prior to this ruling, the government got to keep it all, even if you owed Pennie’s on the dollar.

The even bigger question is how are the 4 liberal justices gonna be able to go to social scene in DC now that they have apparently been brought over it the Dark Side. RBG is probably rolling in her grave at the thought.

The Supreme Court will soon issue rulings, on affirmative action, student debt relief, and the First Amendment and gay rights.
The student loan will be interesting since it has been paused for three years and 8 extensions!

The New York Times is not happy:
Public approval of the court is at a historic low. This was true even before the seemingly endless stream of reports over the past few weeks about the justices’ lax ethics. Since a conservative supermajority took control of the court in 2020, it has blown through the guardrails courts are expected to observe — showing little respect for longstanding precedent, reaching out to decide bigger questions than it was asked to and relying on a secretive “shadow docket” to make hugely consequential rulings with no public explanation.

Lindsey Graham is not happy:
“What I would urge the court to do is take this moment to instill more public confidence,” Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on ethics at the Supreme Court on May 2. “I think we’d all be better off if they did that.”

In other words “I Lindsey the Chameleon Graham would urge the court to disregard the constitution and decide things based on political expediency. After all, how are we politicians supposed to hand out favors if you don’t let us run unchecked”

"Blown through the guardrails courts are expected to observe" - you mean, like the Constitution?

Considering the leak of the Dobbs decision the court hasn't exactly shown the highest ethics so he's not wrong.
