Every time I read one these types of threads I have to read through all the comments before I make mine, and you always have my same way of thinking... so cheers to that!
I think if a guy took the energy he spends into analyzing the maps/weather and put it into learning how to run a call he’d be more successful, overall...

Washington State and Oregon are the new waterfowl mecca. Better than Kansas or Arkansas ever was. There is a reason that the PNW has the largest bag limits, and longest seasons in the lower 48. Easy access and more fowl than stars in the sky. Flights arriving daily and no silly questions from Canadian boarder control agents. Opportunities for guides and freelancers abound in the PNW, which is also drought proof. Just bring your rain gear and plenty of shells.
