I am happy to be married to a OCD clean freak who picks up after me constantly and I can not recall her biazching at me to pick anything up in over 30 years. I am a bit messy but know where everything is type of guy. It is frustrating when she moves my stuff sometimes but over all living in a model home type of clean is enjoyable to me.

I just put a roll of toilet paper on the spool and I was like wow I can't recall more then 2 times in years doing that. I may just start to do this more often. I have been picking up my socks and undies lately as well. Of course the wife doesn't notice but that doesn't matter to much anyway.

As you get older are picking up, organizing more?

Just glassed ducks in my little hole so should be a fun hunt tonight.

I find I'm not doing those 3-mile pack in duck hunts.

I find myself vacuuming my workshop and putting my tools away at the end of each day. Years ago whether carving decoys or rifle building I'd let the debris accumulate and the tools clutter the workbench until the project was finished.

It may look disorganized, but I know where everything is located (until someone moves it).

    Preparing.

Prep'in before anything. I used to just wait until the last minute to pack for hunts/fishing. Now I plan just about everything I do and prep well in advance.
I love the peace of mind and not feeling rushed. A lot less stressful lifestyle.

I've gotten to the stage where I totally get why the old timers i worked with as a cub couldn't stand me. Was constantly dogging them about their old style tools, clothes, and vehicles.
Old Bill put this curse on me at least once.
He'd say, "someday some punk kid just like you will tell you how you're old and outdated and don't know crap". He was right and I repeat his curse onto the punk. :)
That's probably the only thing I do as old betty that young betty didn't do. Punk kids...lol
