Yeah farmers here used to have tanks of anhydrous ammonia in their fields every year. The meth makers broke them of that.
Yup, when the stealing of NH3 was in fashion the dummies would bring glass jugs to try to put it in. NH3 is 276* below zero, you can imagine what happened to the glass jugs, then they used thermos jugs and got away with it. I had 96 NH3 wagons and they would steal the wagons and then hide it in the brush or an abandoned barn or building. I never lost one, it just took several months to find them. You could tell who was stealing them they would always have burn on their bodies or end up in the hospital with inhalation problems, we had one dumb azz that died.
