    Found out that slow hunting,
means opportunities to do other things.

I found a nice ash burl during duck season but it was in a place I couldn't get it out until after freeze-up. I don't do any woodworking so don't know what I am going to do with it but couldn't pass it up.

So far this season, an almost new 3 gallon West Marine Outboard tank (1/2 full), an empty 5 gallon plastic gas can, a nice lanyard with two calls, and a 4X4FT dock float, numerous decoys, all found floating in the marsh. Also found a nice camo kayak floating down the slough, but I tied that up to my dock and the owner eventually found it.

It appears I am surrounded by experts.
I found an orange Home Depot bucket in the middle of a swamp along with an empty Mad Dog 20/20 bottle. They could have at least left me a sip.

At least for me, the shotgun shells are either my shell belt is loose ends didn't hold the shells tight, I have gotten a new one. The other problem for me is my gun ejects the shell and I don't have a chance to grab it or using gloves drop it. I think I lost a half dozen shells in the water this year and was to murky to find them.

Wife found a banded brand marsh seat this year, still in good condition.

If you're ever near SW Wisconsin drop it off by me and I'll send a bowl back to you.

Until you decide what to do, seal the cut ends to prevent cracking. Any old latex paint will work.

This year I vowed to hunt the hotel hole.
Heck I went straight to it because years ago I hunted it in the blind way back before they got burnt.
I hunted it again about 4 yrs ago with two younger guys. No blind then.
So I found it. Marked it in my GPS and saved the track to it.
With my GPS anyone can find the hotel.
The locals insist im wrong and they say its something else and I know damned well is not.
I had the game wardens yesterday and that map that they were panting to see. I said ok but please would you point to the hotel hole.
They pointed. Yep I am right.
I told them game wardens thanks for all you do I know you were in the woods and cut that big *** tree out of the lane. Added it must have been a pita. They smiled. It was a pita.
Not a small tree and its in water laying down way the hell out in the middle....
I own the hotel hole now.

My buddy wrapped a car around a tree in high school when we were drinking MD2020. We lived to tell the tale. God protects fools and drunks.
