I completely agree, I grew up spending every summer, spring & fall break here until I joined the military. My grandparents brought me back every year & put me to work But , I learned so much that no school could ever teach. Lessons that have carried me through life & that I’m teaching my kids. I’m eternally grateful for them and what the gave me. We definitely bonded & I was able to teach them woodsmanship, ethnical hunting, tracking, processing game & how to spot game amongst other things.
Like My 8 year old learning to drive for instance
Nice hunt. Thanks for sharing. Your grandfather must have been smiling down on you and your family.
We went out to check the solar pump & Water on the Colorado property... we had 20 deer on the place. No bucks but it won’t be long until they show. If you look behind the closest deer you’ll see some of the others.
Is that a solar panel?
Good thing kids got them with a rifle or Plumloco1 would be measuring their manhood!!
Fantastic post! Way to get the little ones out there. Awesome.
The pic with the little guy driving is one of the best pics ever shared here. Love it
Yes sir, going to upgrade the pump this spring and get more water flowing into a pond. We did that on our Wyoming property and it’s worked beautifully. I’ll post pics of the set up tomorrow when I go back up there.
Better bring a yard stick
It was awesome, I have a great video of it but I can’t figure out how to post it. Both my boys love driving around the place when we’re back here. I Learned at their age on a 60s Manual Jeep. Some of my favorite memories...
Wow, what a great trip with the whole family. All that while familys in certain parts of the country are locked in their homes afraid to go outside. Fantastic job, and your grandfather would certainly have wanted it no other way.
