There was talk of shine. Here's a pic today of one of big Al's snows in bright sun. I was pleased. Theres a sock behind it for some reference.

Thanks for posting picture. FWIW, ,,,from a human POV,,,, not much question about which decoy looks like a snow goose!

Only 17 shooters in that first video. Dear God please don't let me hunt in groups this large. Decoys worked just fine, but man did they seem tight to me. We still give 4-6 feet between Canada goose decoys ( a little less with lessers and cacklers) . Rarely see them that tight in the field up here.

Second video was more of the setup we use for Canada geese. Smaller geese a little tighter, but keep the big ones with some landing room between them. Put them too tight and the big birds will land outside the spread and walk in. For snows, we just intersperse them all throughout the set.

Nothing wrong with snow goose silos at all, Big Als are the best just my 2 cents.

I mix and add at least 60 to 200 out with the socks, mainly as a filler, and they do give the illusion of movement as well. You can see them here. Nearly grey in colour, but worked.

Looks like paper plates would have worked that day.

Always a pleasure hearing your point of view Warren!! I have to agree with the distance thing , I hate it when the sun comes up and things look bunched up.
At one point I ran 40 doz. Real geese snows. Don't use more than 4 doz. now, just to hide near sometimes,
