Jack hunted hard last week. He’s been through some nasty stuff. His eyes and snout took a beating. He earned a day off yesterday. 9 yr old Max was very happy to take over. When we got home he still went through all my gear and gave me the look “what were you thinking” not taking me... Dog will hunt. Nice to have two dogs to give one a break when needed.
I try and go when I can. My seasons winding down. This is my last full weekend then it’s all about softball with my girls. JR hunt is looking iffy at this point but we will make something work.
My dogs hunt and train hard each season and I be lucky to get to get a full season out of them without any injuries and sitting out. My vet loves me during hunting season lol
