I've used Tru lock chokes for years and bought a couple recently, last Friday for my new A400 black sporting clays gun. They came in the mail yesterday a Skeet 1 and Skeet2(LM). I unscrewed the Beretta Ext choke and screwed the Tru lock in what a difference, it went in so smoothly much nicer than the Beretta's. Just a shout out for a great company never had one pattern badly either.

I don't run them much, but I have heard a lot of good reviews. I see they don't recommend shooting anything over BB steel in anything tighter than modified.

Carlson is the same… that and any steel over 1500 fps.

Negative. I run Carlson's. Their Full chokes are rated for nothing larger than steel BB. Unless it is Remington Pro Bore, or Beretta HP, which is rated nothing larger than #2, in full choke.

My cremator which is inventor plus said nothing larger than BB and nothing over 1500 fps out of the LR which is equivalent to IM. No restrictions on the MR.

Ditto on the patterns. Patterns have been much better/consistent from my A400 Xtreme with Trulock chokes than with the Beretta OEM chokes.

I've talked to Shane Carlson several times and he has assured me all the Carlson's Steel shot Full chokes are rated for up to BB shot and 1550 fps, except, the thin walled Beretta HP, and Remington Pro Bore. The original post is that Tru lock only rates it's Modified tube for nothing larger than BB. I have a Cremator Invector plus, (Improved Modified) that does not have any size restrictions on it. I also just checked the website and do not see any size restrictions on the Invector Plus Cremator. Long range. (Improved Modified) FWIW

No worries. I've done a lot of work with Carlson's chokes on several of my shotguns, including the Pro Bore and Beretta High Performance thin wall chokes. Luckily Carlson's offers a Full restriction tube made out of high strength 455 Carpenter steel for the Beretta HP. I prefer a Full choke where I hunt, which is usually public land, high pressured birds. Not taking away from Tru Lock, have one and they review well, just having a Modified restriction on anything larger than BB, is a deal breaker for me. YMMV
