I had the same reaction when hearing that my governor was the leading candidate if Biden doesn't run. The last thing this country needs is Newsom running it.

No offense to those of you from California but I think the democrats running the governor of California would be a gift to Republicans. When you have a net migration out of a state it's pretty clearly not a well run government the rest of the country admires. The country is voting with their feet.

It does appear that the CA population centers are the big losers.

The majority of counties – 34 of 58 – saw their populations decline in 2021. Those included large counties such as Los Angeles county, the nation’s most populous, with 9.8 million residents, and San Diego and Orange counties.

Of the state’s 10 largest cities, half of them lost population: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland and Anaheim.

Liberals like my mom and family still blame everything on Republicans. Imagine rowing a boat into the middle of a sewage pond, lighting your boat on fire and shooting a hole in your boat and then screaming at the guy on the bank that it's his fault. That is California liberals' mindset.

As a guy who works and lives around more than a few who have fled from California, all the ones I have met fled California, to get away from all the problems but they still think the solution to those problems is more liberalism/socialism/california style solutions. I literally have to leave the room when they start talking. I wonder how this is all going to fall out, but I suspect it is much worse than I can begin to imagine which is probably a good thing as I can't do anything to fix it.
