I went home yesterday and loaded the round Dr. Swane suggested as far as the powder charge and type of powder and with lead it worked great so then I switch to TSS and it hung up , what the same payload but it did not cycle , so I look at the hull and a question came to mind why not lead but tungsten . The tungsten sits low in the hull so I put a fiber wad under the cup wad and tried again , it cycle great , I thank the pressure was bulging the hull before the load could get out of the barrel . Maybe ..410 OU’s and pumps relieve these issues.
I have a Tristar, and knock on wood, it’s been pretty issue free (.410), but 2.5” cycle well. 0.5oz of payload of hw15 have killed some geese.
Dr. Swane the 410 hulls are fiocchi not cheddite and thanks for the information it helped alot , I would not guess H110 would be better choice then LIL Gun because the pressures are normally low but not in this case . The hull stay uniformed and primer did not move.Fio primer pockets and Ched primers
Give boss a call, not sure if their drilling of holes helped to stop or reduce the blown primers
What’s your overall load data? With the spacers/fiber wads? Have pattern pictures, or chrono?Dr. Swane the 410 hulls are fiocchi not cheddite and thanks for the information it helped alot , I would not guess H110 would be better choice then LIL Gun because the pressures are normally low but not in this case . Interesting! Are you shooting TSS with a claybuster wad?3'' fiocchi hull 15.5 grs. H110 1- 1/2 fiberwad in first 1-claybuster CB5050-41HS wad no foam . do not have chrono. lost it have not pattern yet but shooting into a object to stop pellets at 30yds. about 8'' or 9'' circle . I am happy it's cycle. .7 oz TSS for got that part . Lead worked just as well .
yesInteresting! Are you shooting TSS with a claybuster wad?
Are you using a mylar wrap? Those are pretty soft wads!
