That's what the video showed also . No luck finding the ninja loads yet .
Thanks . I'm really looking forward to this , I kinda want to kill one with it . I have no problem cutting the stock and maybe building the cheek up for him .
But now I kinda want to shoot one with it . I haven't been able to locate a replacement stock yet . Oh well if I don't I don't it's gor the kid , but I could carry that thing for days and not even know I have it.
Friend of mine has your same exact shotgun. Apex Ninja .410!has patterned the best in his gun. He tried the Federal 9s and The Winchester .410 7.5s turkey loads but says the Apex Ninja worked best.

Nobands, i shot rogue ammunition tss last year out of a 12 ga, and had no issues. I just looked at their website, i think they have 410 in stock. Can’t speak to how the 410 loads will do for you.

Didn’t have great patterns out of stoeger m3000 , with factory choke 36 yards was max long beard shot the best thinking of getting a bigger target board and trying again

The Longbeard is doing fine at 36 yards. What factory choke? I’d be sure to check at 20 yards to make sure the pattern isn’t crazy tight.

Anyone have any experience with a savage 301
410 ?
No loads avaliable locally so im looking for recommendations to order. Probably going to have to butcher the stock for the kid . Paid 159 for the gun and grabbed a cheap 50 dollar red dot to put on it.
They did have a decent selection of turkey loads in 12 and 20 picked up a box of longbeard for th son .
Just picked one up last week in 410. Bought a box of Herter's #9 tss, Federal #9tss, and the regular Apex tss in #9.5. Found a good deal on a Sig Sauer red dot. One thing that surprised me is that using a laser bore sighter to get it roughly sighted in was useless. I guess #9 shot doesn't travel straight like a normal projectile. Better to start with lead dove shot with a big target at close range and move further away. You'll have to use some of the tss to get it properly sighted.

Out of the 3 shells I tried, the Apex #9.5s seemed to pattern the best. From what I've read on these 301s, the quality control isn't great on the chokes. Some people have a .380 choke, and some have up to .395. Mine is .386 I believe. You really do need to try different loads and see what works best. Not fun when it's $9 every time you shoot, but you gotta do it.

This was the Apex 9.5's at ~40 yards. Pretty dang happy with it. Especially for a .410

Thanks gor the heads up @YeOldeRusty . I haven't shot it yet, waiting for the grandson to come over .
How was the federal pattern. And what it likes 20 to 25 .
I've got some dove loads and a box federal tss . Maybe ordering the apex, the consensus that I've seen it's the best .
Wth 8 or 9 bucks , it's only money I guess ,

The Federal and Herter's patterned fine. Just couldn't beat the extra shot in the Apex. You can kinda see on the right target what these shells do at 20 yards... Turns this little thing into a guillotine.

Apex's actually end up being the cheapest per shell. I think it was $60 for a box of 10? Federal was $45 and Herter's was $40 and both only came with 5 shells. Definitely get as close to sighted in with the dove loads as you can. Should save a few bucks.

Sighting in with dove loads is a good idea no matter gauge and load. In addition to saving a lot of money, you don’t get beaten up by the big stuff.
