I've noticed that if I put it in the phone it ...you know.
22% charged 2 hrs 28 min to full.
    Something like that.
Me I'm curious so I flipped it and ...
22% charged 1 hr 18 min to full.

Would one of you geniuses mind explaining exactly what's going on and why please? I don't get it.
    Which way is up? Lol

it is rotationally symmetrical, there is no "up"

were you using the same power supply? the ones that are 20+ amps are fast charge

The 'C' plug goes in either way, much like apple products. And, no, it makes no difference in charging rates which side is 'up'.

blk, you are right, different receptacles make a difference. I have a USB plug in the truck, and an adapter that goes into the lighter receptacle. The USB plug charges at 2amps. The lighter plug is much higher (not sure how high, but the charging rate shows about 5 times higher)

You also put a very minor charge to the battery when you first plugged it in. When you replugged it in, it recalculated the time to charge even though the battery never left 22%?

I've done this hundreds of times..my phone is lying about this chit.
Even when it was new it had two rates of charging depending on which way I put the cord in. I think I better get my meter out and do some testing.

It gave me an hours worth of charge in just a second or two then I switched side it recalculated and ITS REALLY BAD AT MATH. I can accept that. Smart phone lies and makes critical errors in judgement constantly.
    I write street...it posts sweep.

A possible explaination is that when a charger is first plugged in the device electronically negotiates with the charger to determine the highest charge rate the device, charger and connection can handle. It might be that there is a little bit of dirt on one side of your "C" connector that causes your charge rate to be reduced when plugged in on that side.

Yeah, I doubt the software that does that is accurate. More of a guesstimate. Get out your magnifying station and put a multimeter on it.

"The science" says it got wet and the jack in the phone is trippin. ;)
I got bees to manage and honey to sell.
    8 gallons going out asap...
I think my phone got wet last fall and ...there's a thread I think lol

    Hold on ...a breakthrough.
It agrees now. Both sides same time.
Weird. Smart phone makes me look like a dumbass every time.:l

Did this all by myself. Stings a little.
Nothing a lil electrical tape and a napkin can't fix.
