Pretty unbiased source i been using a few weeks. The Map updates give a good visual and the time lapsed ones show the changing of hands territory wise. Hope the death and destruction ends there sooner than later..

Going to be interesting to see the t90 vs the m1a2. I think the Abrahams outclasses it especially in regards to engine durability, but the t90s anti tank guided missile with 5000m capability is pretty nasty. Many in the defense circles care more about this testing ground and its results more so than the people were sending them to imo.

The Russians sent in their best in the initial 3 day assault.

They were ground up a year ago.

Is that verifiable? Admittedly, I'm only loosely following, but all I read about are Wagner fighters, conscript troops, and former prisoners.

You're saying that the regular Russian military was destroyed in 3 days by Ukraine?? What am I missing?

na, the paratroopers (VDV) are in most cases the best supplied ground forces as far as Russians go. Their kit is WAY better compared to even wagner groups. A large detachment of VDV were just deployed on the 11th,and many videos of them are making the rounds. Its obvious by the shape of their rifles (the attachments on the rifles mainly muzzle devices/supressors and med kits especially) that the most capable russians werent all "ground up a year ago." Im not trying to argue, just saying, The classic russian model is to throw bodies into the grinder. Then throw more bodies in the grinder that are full of bbs so to speak. ilya starnov is essentially the father of spetnaz, and he was pulling gorilla ops with hand selected russian operators in ww2, long after most had been hitting the grinders. If all the efficient ivan pipe hitters were ground up early on, then the influx of western tech should have made this war end roughly 6-8 months ago. We keep hearing the best are already dead, and russia is out of missles, but vdv are still being staged, some of which served prior to 2014 and have expierance, and some 50 missiles landed in ukraine the other day. Kind of hard to really know wth is going on over there bc everyone reporting on it has an agenda or a "side"... i really dont care. More alarmed by inflation and an ever shaping chess board that involves nato and BRIC. This war is less russia vs ukraine and more nato vs bric. My opinion anyway.

Russia sent in their professional fighters in the initial invasion. They didn't start drafting until they ran out of troops.

Wagner is no more professional than the conscripts. It is just more brutal, being primarily Russian mobster convicts. But no more well trained, no longer better equipped. Just more brutal.

The Russians have lost 14 generals in Ukraine. The very tippy topp of their art in Russia, a professional soldier, a Russian General.

They are plowing through conscripts like meat through a grinder. These men are getting a week or two of training and off to die.

If the Russians were actually holding back these mythical "professional soldiers", now would be the time to deploy them. Actually, about 8 months ago would have been the time to deploy them.

They don't exist.

I know this, the propaganda from Russia, China, and the U.S. unfortunately, is off the charts. I talked to my son for a bit yesterday and he was laughing at some of the Chinese propaganda that they were privy to, and the new meme making the rounds in the Marine Corps....."be the Marine the Chinese think you are".
